American actress, famous during the interwar period, Kenig was known for her comic roles in Yiddish theater. She performed in operettas and vaudevilles, excelling in soubrette and pants roles. Kenig’s voice, characterized by a “remarkable range,” and exceptional comedic talent gained her the appreciation of American and European audiences. In 1928 and 1930, she was touring Europe, giving performances in Vienna, Lwów, and Łódź. There are a few recordings of songs performed by her.
