Scholarship

Scholarly projects offer a closer examination of topics related to the lives of Polish Jews before World War II. Visitors can discover broader and more detailed context for subjects presented in exhibits and microhistories through carefully researched articles.

The rich setting of interwar Łódź provides a fertile ground for multidisciplinary scholarship—the city’s heritage has been the subject of exploration by historians, cultural historians, art historians, political and social scientists; scholars of folklore, urban design, film studies, literature, and music. However, much work remains to be accomplished. The Jewish Łódź Digital Scholarly Commons hosts a community of scholars from diverse disciplines, working in different countries, who interact and share their research.
