Title
The intersection of Piotrkowska and Pacowa Streets -The Church St. Stanislaus Kostka
Description
The craftsmen arriving from Prussia settled mainly in the sauthern part of the city. During the first half of the 19th century most factories were located here. The central locale of this industrial quarter was a plaza called the Fabryczny (Factory) Market. This picture was taken on Piotrkowska Street next to the Scheibler Palace. The boys, standing in an archway, look in the direction of the construction site of the Church of St. Stanislaus Kostka, later the archcathedral basilica of Łódź.
